Here it is mid-spring and the rain continues to fall; this may lead one to ask "What can the Golf Course Operations Department possibly be doing?". Well, due to the rain and moderate temperatures our location has been experiencing, the golf course and surronding areas are very green and lush which is keeping us very busy.
This past Monday we tackled several different jobs which included but were not limited to the following:
- verticutting tees
- weedeating bunker faces
- prepping areas for sod (areas that suffered during the past winter)
(above is on #4 of the Executive course)
It is also that time of year when we 'dryject' the greens. This is no small task and rather than try to explain how it is accomplished our very own Director of Golf Course Operations, Walter Pritchett, has captured the process on video. This video can be watched in the blog publishedjust before this one.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns regarding the golf course please do not hesitate to give us a call, 502-425-0160.
